Remember last year when everyone (including me) went gaga over swing dresses? Well don’t get me wrong, I love a good swing dress, but the problem is, they don’t really seem to fit into my life very well. They’re a bit too swooshy for my day to day wardrobe, there’s no way I’m going to run after Poppy with risk of exposing my arse cheek to everyone down the street. So, I found my beloved swing dresses languishing in the wardrobe gathering dust. I was just about to start selling them when I realised maybe my mum could help out.
So yeh, it’s not a dramatic transformation but we lopped the bottom of this one (and a couple of others) making it into a much more wearable garment for me, now I can wear it with jeans, trousers and maxi skirts.
And what did we do with the bit we cut off the bottom? Well made a cute headband of course!

Looks lovely – would have no idea its home 'adjusted'! My MinL is pretty handy with a sewing machine, I might have to rope her in on some projects x
It's definitely worth a try, I loved them too much to let them go, but needed to find a way to wear them!! x x
How cute do you look in that headband photo?! Love this idea. x x

This looks so cute! Loved it!
I do that all the time. I get tired of something and just change it! I do it for my daughters clothing too.

Ha ha a lot of people do, just not for me! I'll ask my mum where she got the headband info from, I've got a feeling it was an online tutorial x
