My chevron amour…

I know you’ve missed my pun-tastic titles, so I thought I’d bring them back!! In fashion terms summer is well underway and although it is still very much winter outside it’s never too early to start planning your summer threads.
I was sent this gorgeous chevron maxi dress by the lovely folk at Bonmarche. It’s from the David Emanuel range, he of the Princess Di wedding dress and most recently I’m a celeb fame.

The dress is beautiful quality and I’ve got a feeling the chevron print is going to be huge over the summer. I’m wearing the 24 (UK) purely because according to the size chart that where my measurements sat, but in all honestly I could have easily worn the 22, it has bags of room.
The one thing I will say is, I sadly found this dress too short on me to be a maxi. I’m 5’7″ and it was that funny in between length, not long enough to be a maxi and not short enough for a midi. Which is a real shame. I’m going to have this taken up to make it work for me. But for you petite ladies, this is an absolute winner!!
I didn’t think, I should have whipped my jacket off for you to see the sleeves, but quite frankly it was so cold in my garden I might have turned as blue as the streak in my hair!! It really is a very beautiful dress and wouldn’t look out of place dressed up for a wedding or day at the races. Bonmarche has a great selection of plus size dresses, head to the site and have a gander!

That dress is lovely, a really slimming pattern. I see what you mean about the size though, you could have easily done with a size smaller and had a bit of length added to the bottom… but you look lovely regardless!

I saw this on the site yesterday but wasn't sure, but having seen how amazing you look in it, I have just ordered mine! xx

You look lovely, although I agree with you on the length. Just a couple of inches would make a difference, Loving bonmarche at the moment. You have to dig through, but there are some real gems xx
