Plus Size OOTD – Spring Edition with Very

**Sponsored Post**

When it comes to shaking off those winter blues and gently easing yourself into some spring style, I like to start browsing for things like plus size coats and plus size tops. I find that the easiest swap to make is that from big heavy coats and knitwear to lighter alternatives, like jackets, macs and trench coats, and into mid-weight jersey and blouses. The British weather being what it is, I’m not always ready to lose the tights and boots quite yet, but I can start to shed some layers!

The Modern Trench

We all know and love the classic trench coat, but this spring we’re seeing a move towards a more modern take on this wardrobe staple. Very have this fab olive green, faux leather number with exaggerated lapels, there’s still a nod to the classic with the double breasted front and belted waist but the fabric and almost 70s retro feel to the collar gives it a real edge.

I’ve styled it with this contrasting red and black dress from dress section, where you’ll find a huge range of plus size red dresses – I love the contrast of the olive/khaki colour with that pop of red.

The Classic Trench

Of course, you can’t go wrong the the OG trench, and this classic will serve your wardrobe for many years to come, I’ve teamed it with another spring style staple, the striped tee and my go to jean brand Levis, did you know that Very carry Levi’s Plus Size Jeans?

I find the fit incredibly generous, and they wear so well, I go back time after time for different styles, they’re my ultimate plus size jean recommendation. I’ve added a little modern twist to this outfit by added socks and trainers, of course if you want to go classic, try a loafer or a boot.

The LBD

Year round, having a solid little black dress in your wardrobe is a no-brainer. Dressed up or down, this style essential can, and will take you everywhere.

I’ve styled it two ways with the two trench coats to show again how versatile it can be. Work or play it’s got your back.

Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.

In the immortal words of Miranda Priestly… But hey, there’s a reason they come around every spring, and that’s because they’re just so fresh and cute! And dammit, I want to be cute sometimes! And there’s no better way to do a floral spring dress than fresh white trainers and a denim jacket, it’s classic, it’s chic, it’s Spring!

Very has a huge selection of plus size style to help you move from winter to spring with ease and in effortless style!
