Health: Simply Health – Healthy Minds Challenge.

So as some of you may know, mental health and keeping the dialogue open around mental health is something very important to me. As a person living with bi-polar I think it’s crucial we talk about it and break down the stigma.
As someone who has decided to tackle the illness without medication, it’s also very important that I try and find different ways to cope with my illness, so when I heard about what Simply Health and were doing in line with Mental Health Awareness Week 2015, I thought it might be fun to get involved.
So what’s the deal? Lots of bloggers were tasked with tweeting something positive everyday for a week to see how it would have an effect on us and our mood. There’s a whole blog post over on the Simply Health website about how some approaches can really help to improve your every day mental health, because lets face it, every one has to look after their mental health regardless of if they have a diagnosis or not.
Now that I’ve completed the challenge Simply Heath are going to donate £50 to Mind Charity on my behalf. How fantastic is that?!
So how did it go?

Well, I’m not going to lie, we had some pretty awful news this week, so it was hard to be positive on some days, but, saying it out loud and remembering the things I did have to be positive about really helped.
I did miss Saturday, it just completely slipped my mind and I was actually really busy spending time with one of my most favourite people, so I was just having too much fun evidently! Even though I didn’t quite hold up my end of the bargain, I’m hoping Simply Health still donate. Please? *Flutters eyelashes*.
