Style: Head to Toe Party Styling Challenge with Marisota

Despite my best efforts to fight off Christmas until after my birthday (the 9th), I gave in and we now have the tree up and Poppy is, of course, delighted! I also found myself being drawn into the festive spirit with a fab challenge from Marisota to pick out a plus size party wear look.

I was asked to pick out a head to toe look for a festive occasion. I chose a Christmas work party as my occasion. Since having Poppy and working freelance I’ve missed out on the whole build up to christmas, and the works do.

I knew I had a couple of blogger events which are really now my equivalent to a work party, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to feel all festive and fabulous.

For my party look I chose the Fluffy cropped jumper and Metallic Skirt and teamed it with the Leopard print shoes. Underneath I’m wearing this gorgeous padded plunge bra and matching briefs (pictured below) for which you’ll have to take my word because I forgot to get some pictures! I might try and blog the set this week some time.

This is quite a grown up look for me, but the metallic tones add some fun and make it a really special party outfit. I love the little addition of the leopard print shoes, which gives it a younger edge. I sized down to a 20 on both these items and I’m glad I did. the skirt is majorly generous, I probably could have gone down to an 18 with ease.

I’m really struggling with pictures now the dark evenings have set in, but I hope you can get a good idea of the outfit and it’s fit. I love how the sparkle and glitz makes this a perfect festive outfit, if you can’t go all out glam at this time of year, when can you?!
