Hello my lovelies! The sun is shining so I am a happy soul! I’ve got a couple of lovely bits to share with you from Lovedrobe, the first being these very excellent stripe trousers.
Before I crack on with my usual review details, I just wanted to ask you lot a few questions, I always love hearing your views!
As you might have noticed by now, the look of the blog has changed a bit over the last few weeks, but I wanted see how you felt about the content itself. In terms of my writing style, not much has changed. I try and bring a variety of mainly fashion reviews with a mix of opinion pieces and food/travel reviews now and then. But just lately I’ve noticed a trend emerging in the blog world…
A lot of bloggers are mixing their fashion shots with opinion pieces. So, for example, a blogger might showcase an outfit, but write about a completely different topic. There’s little-to-no-mention of the outfit details, size, fit, quality etc.
So what I want to know, is, do you like this style of blogging? Do readers still care about outfit details, or would you rather read something about the blogger themselves or a lifestyle/current affairs type topics, and just see pics of the outfits with the links?
I personally love a good review, I like to know, first hand how the garment fits, what the fabric is like, whether it’s comfy or not and suggestions on ways to style the garment. But I completely get why fun topics, inspirational stuff is really engaging too! So I guess what I’m getting at is, do you prefer the content separated out, or mixed together, is there a way of doing both?
Outfit: TShirt – Monki// Trousers – Lovedrobe// Shoes – Crocs// Handbag – River Island// Earrings – Cotton Crowd |
Well folks, on this occasion, I guess that is in fact what I am doing isn’t it?
Chatter over, I want to talk to you about these trousers. *Spoiler* they’re great. Fabric-wise we’re talking a light crepe material with no stretch, which is why I sized up to a 24. I can also find some Lovedrobe pieces on the small side.
I’m glad I did, these are spot on for me. Nice and loose, plenty of room for my sizeable thighs which I always struggle with in wide leg trousers. I often end up with a weird looking bootcut affair. I teamed the trousers with a floral tee from Monki for a bit of colour and interest and sandals from Crocs (yes really).
I really would love your thoughts on the direction of content, do I stick to the usual Beebs style, or would you like to see other topics covered within in fashion posts?
**The trousers in this post were sent to me for the purposes of review. All words and opinions are my own**

I always want to know where you got the outfit from! I hate those posts where there's lush pictures of clothes and no mention of them at all. Keep up the good work Becky, you're my favourite blogger, you do a great job!
Awwww thank you so much! I really appreciate that <3
I much prefer your way of reviewing the clothes. I want to know things about the fit and the material as that’s what ultimately helps us decide whether to purchase or not. X
