Supporting Small Business | Local Edit

You could be forgiven for feeling a bit lost or even useless at the moment. We are living in the most incredibly strange times, and our emotions are quite righty all over the place. There is no ‘right way’ to be at the moment and that is okay.

As a small business owner myself, I’m all too aware of the impact the pandemic is having on business. And although in the grand scheme of things it might not seem important given the grief so many are dealing with, the cold hard fact is, when this is over, we will go back to our day-to-day lives. Albeit altered, possibly even unrecognisable versions of our lives.

Be the Change…

But what I am hoping, is that one of the many changes we see, will be the way in which we shop, the choices we make and the impact we can make when deciding how to spend our money.

Promisingly, it does seem like a change is already happening. I’ve seen across social media, people are choosing to shop local and taking advantage of much needed delivery services. Small businesses are changing the way they work and are adapting to overcome the challenges they face.

I have been truly inspired by this and wanted to, in some small way, help promote that. So I put a notice in my local business support group asking for any local folk who have websites and a national delivery service to get in touch. And they did!

To that end, I am delighted to share with you, lots of wonderful Grimsby/Cleethorpes and NE Lincolnshire based businesses who are delivering services and products nationally.

We stock many items from small local businesses which go in our boxes too so a lot of businesses do a happy dance when we send one!”
