Well you know me, I like to wear the times I’m sent for real so you can get a good idea of how it’ll look, how to style it, that kind of thing. Well believe me, I am purely just modelling today’s outfit, because as much as trying out next season’s plus size fashion is fun, in today’s 28 degree heat it really wasn’t practical!
Today I’ve got a real treat. You might be familiar with sophisticated fashion brand Phase Eight, well it’s my pleasure to introduce their new sister brand Studio8 designed specifically for the plus size woman, available in sizes 16-24.
So yeah, it’s a coat, hence why I’m not actually wearing for real! But my, what a coat it is! I’m wearing (albeit briefly) the Lynn Check Cape. And it’s quite spectacular. It’s sleek, stylish and minimal. Just how I like it!
I’m wearing the Medium which is equivalent to a 20/22 and it’s perfect. The fabric is a luxurious wool/acrylic mix which is really soft. It’s fully lined and can be worn open or closed. It retails at £140 which is a great price for this standard of item and very much inline with it’s straight size equivalent.
I cannot wait to rock this in the Autumn and Winter. It’s going to be perfect for throwing on over some jeans and a long sleeved top on casual days, but will equally add an instant smartness to my business outfits. I can just see me heading off to meetings in this beauty. And it’s something that’s going to be in my wardrobe for years to come.
