I swore when I got my hands on my wardrobe again I would wear all the colours and styles under the sun to make up for my month of minimalism. Ooops, I don’t seem to have quite got there yet, I’ve just been loving monochrome too much.
You can’t actually tell on the pics but I’m wearing my much loved ASOS dungarees. I’ve had these a good 18 months now and I get so much wear out of them. They’ve got them in again this summer, if you fancy trying out the trend I can recommend these ones, I know the thought of plus size dungarees might be a bit scary, but they can be so much fun! They’re a twill but have a little bit of stretch in them so there’s movement and flexibility. I sized up to a 24 as I wanted a bit more room in them, but if you don’t carry your weight in your hips and thighs like me, I’d stick to your regular size.
Now that the nicer weather is here (hopefully to stay!) it was the perfect excuse to wear my favourite Simply Be jacket too. This quilted duster is just perfect, it’s cool and fresh and adds a sophisticated twist to the dungarees outfit. Sadly it’s no longer available on the site but this similar one in a berry tone is really cute.
I will endeavour to embrace some more colour this month, but I’m not promising anything haha! I hope those of you who got some time off work had a great long weekend, and those who didn’t at least ate copious amounts of chocolate to make up for it!
