Style: New Look Holiday Shop.

Well it’s rather nice today isn’t it? And we all know how much I like the sun. With summer just round the corner, I’ve got a lovely versatile piece from New Look today straight from their Holiday Shop.

This denim tunic dress is just perfect for summer. It’s a lightweight, cool cotton. The cap sleeves will keep the sun off your shoulders while you’re out exploring or boozing it up at a festival. Theres a lovely zip detail to the back and the length is real good. It’s not too short, but still short enough to give your pins and airing!

I’m wearing the size 24, I like a bit of room in my tunic dresses, especially as this one doesn’t have any stretch. Having said that, it is pretty roomy, so I think you’d probably be okay with your normal size. This comes in at £24.99 which I think is a really good price point. Pretty average for this style of dress on the high street.

I’ve styled mine with my comfy converse, long gold necklace and cute floral headband, for a laid back, casual feel (I know, I must say those words nearly every blog post! Haha!). The eagle eyed of you might have spotted my very cool handbag. It’s an oversized version of those beaded purses that were around when we was kids, honestly it’s so colourful and cute I can’t wait to tell you all about it tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that post.

New Look wanted us to share our top tips for feeling good in the summer time, so here goes!

1. Wear what you feel comfortable in. There’s no point wearing a short dress because you feel like you have to. If you prefer trousers, find some nice lightweight ones and team with sandals and a vest.

2. Stay well hydrated. This might sound obvious, but it’s easy to be busy and forget. Your skin and head will thank you, so always carry a bottle of water in your handbag!

3. Use a light foundation or face cream that has an SPF in it. Look after your skin, it’s common sense but easily forgotten.

4. Don’t let your body hang-ups stop you having a good time. We all have area of our body that make us inwardly groan, but that’s no reason to sit on the sidelines and watch everyone else have fun. Trust me, even the most apparently confident, conventionally beautiful people have body confidence issues, the world will not stop if you put on a swimming costume or wear a pair of shorts, in fact I doubt anyone will notice, so throw caution to the wind this summer and embrace it. Life is for living!
