Style: My funny Valentine.

Michael and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s but this year we decided to take advantage of the day and spend a little time together. I think once you have children it’s really easy to lose sense of the couple you used to be, so it’s important to try and grab some time together.
Michael made dinner and then we headed out for a few drinks and to see my friend sing.

I decided to wear a simple black outfit with a sexy little twist. This sheer polka dot top from idaretobe.com is really great for layering, but I decided to make it the star of the show and build my outfit around it. I wore it with some highwaisted trousers, heels and ladylike pearls.

I’ve popped a couple of the pictures with flash in so you can get a better idea of the outfit, I know they’re a little washed out but the details are a bit better.

I really enjoyed wearing this outfit, sometimes simple and chic can be most effective!

And as for my funny valentine? Well just look at him!

That top is so awesome!! And I really like that you paired it with a pant, it makes it very fresh!

Those shoes are pretty darn cute too!
