OOTD: Check Mate…

As I mentioned the other day, I said I try and pop a few more day-to-day outfits on the blog. This one is from Friday, when I ran a few errands in town, picked Pops up from school and went to B&Q. I know my life is a none stop roller coaster of glamour.

The shirt is new, I ordered it from New Look last week (yes my student loans is in!). I sized up to a 24 because I know their shirts can come up a little small. I’m glad I did, I needed the boob room to be honest and I’m not even that chesty, so just something to bear in mind should you want to try it. I love the body shape though, I wanted quite a masculine look so I buttoned it al the way to the top and wore it with my cons. You could wear this open with a vest top, high waisted trousers and heels for a more smart casual look. The shirt is a soft, brushed cotton and has rolled sleeve detail. I think it will be a fab transitional piece going into autumn and will be great for layering up!
