Yes I was singing that to the tune of Bros, Drop the Boy. Ok, so I’ve been wanting to try the drop waist trend for a while, but as a very hip-heavy gal, I was worried it wouldn’t work on me. So when I was able to choose some pieces from Pink Clove I threw caution to the wind and decided to go for it.
OK, so it’s not exactly a drop waist on me. As I suspected, it sits on me a bit like a fit and flare, which is fine. It’s a super cute dress anyway and the mesh panel to the top is a look I’d not yet tried either and I love it.
The fabric is textured and stretchy, it’s quite weighty so feels really sumptuous. I love the way the hem kicks out at the bottom making it feel a bit flirty.

Despite the shape not quite working as it should on me, I really like this dress. It’s a cute twist on a classic LBD, and would be perfect for Christmas parties, meals out and of course date night.

Thanks Emma! It's definitely worth trying, see how it sits on you x x
I have been avoiding drop waists for the same reason although this dress looks mega cute on you xx
Thanks love! Worth a go! Even if you don't quite end up looking like a 20s starlet! LOL x x
I quite like dropped waists, when done properly, as this one is. It has such a flapper feel to it!
