If I could do it all again…

The holiday was great, but not having taken a sun holiday for over 5 years I think I’d forgotten how to pack. There was loads I’d forgotten and Items that weren’t really very useful. So I was thinking what items would I have packed given another chance.
I don’t like to spend a fortune on holiday clothes, after all, they get thrown into suitcases, covered in sand and chlorine and food (well in my case they do!) so I headed over to the George website where I know it’s going to be in budget and on trend. My fave combo.

Clockwise – Yellow Maxi – £14// Leopard print swimsuit – £14// Cobalt midi dress – £10// Pineapple print sundress – £12// Hot orange jeggings – £12// Footbed sandals – £10

Firstly, I can’t actually believe I’m going to admit to this, but I did not pack a maxi dress, I instantly regretted it as soon as I got there and spent the whole week annoyed at myself for it. So my first item is of course a maxi. I’ve seen this yellow one on a few people and hadn’t realised it was from George. Needless to say I have now ordered it. i love the vibrant colour and it has a really cute exposed zip detail to the back.
Ok, so I didn’t forget to pack a swimsuit, but I was seriously lacking in any halter necks which I love so much. This vibrant animal print one is fab, I love the shape of it.
Colour! Why didn’t I pack many bright colours? I think in my head I thought sticking to a predominantly monochrome holiday wardrobe would be cool and classy, but I just ended up feeling a bit drab instead. This cobalt blue midi dress is perfect for dressing up or down, and it’s jersey so it will keep you cool.
Print! Much as  above, I kind of packed really tamely when, let’s be honest, if you can’t rock a crazy, tiki, in your face print on holiday when can you? This amazing pineapple print dress is perfection.
We all know I love my jeans, but they can get a bit heavy for the summer, so I’m always looking for an alternative. I love these bright orange jeggings teamed with this seasons must-have footbed sandals. Team them with a loose fitting cami for and ubercool look.
Have I missed anything? What’s your must-have holiday item?

Funnily enough I placed a George order last night – kicking myself that I didn't spot those jeggings though! I did however buy the sandals! A maxi dress is a must for me on holiday, some sort of nice swimwear cover up too xx

I'm really into swimsuit cover ups right now. I love being able to go from the beach to the shops!

packing for vacations (or holidays haha) is soo difficult! one thing that i always always forget is a hat. it's really unfortunate thing to forget because I'm really light skinned. so i get burnt on the top of my head 🙁 lol. i think you did a good job, but i would definitely say the maxi dress can be such a life saver!
