Jewellery with Meaning

**This post features gifted items**

Long time followers of the blog might begin to feel really old when I tell you that my beautiful daughter Poppy has just turned 16 and is currently taking her GCSEs… I know right?! To mark the occasion and give a little lift through this stressful time, I wanted to get her a gift. As luck would have it, the lovely folk at Luna and Rose fortuitously got in touch around the same time, and when I saw their range of saint necklaces I knew it was meant to be.

Sustainably made Jewellery

Luna and Rose are a female founded, sustainable jewellery and clothing brand based in Bali. Each of their Saint Necklaces are one of a kind, crafted from ethically sourced materials by a small handpicked team who use recycled materials and clean working practices.

Patron Saint Jewellery

As a child I always wore a Saint Christopher. We’re not a religious family, but it’s just something we did. My dad always wore one too, so jewellery with meaning has always had a place in my life. So when I went to the Luna and Rose website and saw the wonderful range of different Saint Necklaces, I knew this is the way I wanted to go.

I read through the meaning of each one and settled on the St Michael for Poppy. He’s the patron saint of protection and overcoming challenges, which I thought was quite fitting for her exams. I went for the silver option as Pops is mainly a silver girl.

I was lucky enough to be offered on for myself too, so I went with St Matthew, the patron saint of money, integrity and perseverance. As I’ve just launched my own plus size clothing line, Nohah Studio, I thought this one was really meaningful.

Jewellery for Gifting

I’m huge fan of jewellery for gifting. For me, there is nothing better than being able to gift someone something with meaning, that’s going to last for years to come and can be worn and kept close every day. Jewellery ticks all those boxes. And what I love about the patron saint necklaces is that they are gender neutral. From a style point of view, these pieces are perfect for layering up, they are stylised enough to make a statement and look gorgeous with every outfit. The different chain lengths mean they are plus size friendly too.

The site has a range of stunning pieces, including signet rings, earrings and jewellery sets. Head over to Luna and Rose to see all the gorgeous styles on offer.
